Company

me the artist was created to provide an opportunity to explore creativity through painting in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.  As an ex-corporate banker, I was familiar with the impact of long schedules, travel and sleepless nights.  For me, my passion as an artist has been a way to relieve stress and take me to a place to unwind and enjoy myself.

As Individuals, 'Art' can impact us in many ways; it can create a calm serenity; it can inspire us; fill us with love or energy and it can move us. Art can be enjoyed by all age groups.

me the artist plans to have multiple locations throughout Phoenix in the near future. We hope to provide a unique opportunity for local artists to share their talents and spread the impact of color and balance in one's life while connecting with family and friends.

Ruby Farias
Owner

Ruby is a long time artist and retired from her banking career to do what for many years has been her dream and passion. She has worked with a variety of mediums and has created an array of works of art for everyone to enjoy; from her initial love of abstract and nature, to whimsical, landscapes and close up stills. She has sold her work online, at art galleries and art shows. Ruby has been teaching art to all ages for many years.  She resides in Scottsdale, Arizona with her husband and daughter.

"When we allow ourselves, at any age, to put away all of those fears about creating a piece of art and having a great time doing it, nothing is more exciting and wonderful. "Me the Artist" helps in doing just that and I am thrilled that I can share my work and to do my part at our fun filled Me’vents. Watching a Me'tist's beaming smile because of their accomplishment is the greatest feeling.“

“It’s absolutely the most fun thing to do with friends and family; it’s also a wonderful place to network and meet new friends.”

Me’Guides

me the artist certified instructors are called Me'guides
for a reason... They provide simple easy to understand
instructions to create a likeness of a Me'sterpiece, but they
are not looking for a duplicate of the original work. Me'guides
will encourage you to add your own "flair" through color, shape
ad design to make your me'sterpiece uniquely yours!

Cathy Flesch - Me'Guide

I'm very excited about being a Me'Guide. I've always had a passion for teaching and helping others in everything I've done in life. Painting is something that I enjoy doing and will love teaching to others. I believe that each of us has a creative side and we just need to look inside ourselves to find it. Paintings lets me express myself and there is such beauty in each piece of art created. It also allows me to share my love of art with others and it lets me be true to my true self. To be able to share this gift of what I am learning with others is just amazing. I believe God has a plan for each of us and painting is part of my plan in life.

I got into art in the 2nd grade and have been doing it ever since. It was in high school that I got into painting. Later, I attended art school and currently do graphic design and printing. As a musician, I have taught others to play guitar and I am a member of Halocene. Everytime I step onto that stage in the studio, I am a rock star all over again. I am comfortable in front of people and instructing me'vents is always fun and exciting. See you at the next Me'Vent!

Jacquie Garner - Me'Guide

I  am an Native.  I have two children and am married to my high school sweetheart.  I have worked as preschool teacher and for the past ten years I have worked as a swim instructor and childcare director.  My love for art began at an early age , but my teaching of art really began when teaching preschool and volunteering in my children classrooms and camps.  Over the years I have taught art at vacation bible school and elementary schools (Masterpiece Art).   I love to see people’s faces light up as they see what they are able to create.

Kerry LaMountain - Me'Guide

I have always loved art since childhood, drawing and painting in particular. I have experience with a variety of media in painting, drawing, ceramics, and sculpture. As a mother of 3, I love teaching art to kids and helping them to realize their creativity. I have been a volunteer in the art masterpiece program for many years, bringing the love of art to them in a unique way. I love sharing the excitement of art making with others, unlocking the art spirit within!

I was into art before I was in school. It didn't take my mom long to find out she couldn't banish me to my room for punishment because I was very ok with that….yep out came the Crayolas…paints, what ever. My mom was told early on by one of my teachers to keep me in art. Well….I didn't have to be told that. I went to school for Computer Graphic Design/Photography. Art has been a huge part of my life and work experience in MANY mediums, from Leather to Stained Glass, Pen & Ink to Wood working with Photography & Graphite drawing being my favorites. I’m a member of the Sonoran Arts League and my creations are scattered across the US and other countries. Being a part of  “Me The Artist” is icing on the cake. To be able to pass on to others the joy there is in letting out your inner artist. Me’Vents are a wonderful thing, come paint with us!
